Roke Manor Research Limited was established in 1956 and is one of the UK’s leading Research and Development Organisations designing and developing high-tech products and services for both Defence and Commercial business throughout the world.
The business was recently acquired by the Chemring Group from Siemens and is now operating more independently and on a broader more commercial basis. They engaged Developing People International to help develop their line managers’ skills across various business and line management disciplines. We have designed and delivered a number of Modules for Roke Manor Research Limited covering key aspects such as Influencing and Persuading, Dealing with Conflict, Coaching Skills, Negotiating and Inter-personal relationships.
Developing People have run these modules over the past 2 years making only minor modifications and in 2013 we have been asked to extend our reach into other management skills changes.
What was the impact of our work?
The impact of this work has been shown by the confidence and effectiveness of participating line managers who are dealing more effectively with the changing business and market place requirements. They are also establishing more successful long term relationships with employees, customers and suppliers alike.
