Our successful Team Leader Development Programme is relaunched

We are pleased to announce another date for our hugely successful Team Leader Development Programme.

The aim of the programme

The programme will identify, improve and develop the management skills, knowledge and competency of the participants in the following key areas:

• Leading and managing teams – reducing workload of senior staff
• People management skills – ensuring willing co-operation
• Understanding of effective team work and motivation
• Applying skills developed in the programme, to a specific work based project
• Demonstrating skills in performance and project management
• Encouraging a continuing interest in learning and in the development of self and others.

Who should attend?

Participants will be supervisors, team leaders or first line managers with direct people management responsibility. They could either be managers who have had little or no formal training or those who have been newly appointed to this role within the last year. Alternatively, they may have responsibility for guiding other people or dealing with customers.

Core Subjects:
Roles and responsibilities of a supervisor, self-awareness, communication skills, motivation, coaching, supervisory leadership, performance management, discipline and grievance, project management skills and a work-based project.

Flexible Subjects:
According to participant needs, we will also include relevant elements of other topic areas as required.

Dates: Wednesday 1 November and Thursday 2 November 2006
& Thursday 14 December 2006
Venue: Express at Holiday Inn Hotel, M271 Redbridge, Southampton
Investment: The overall cost of the programme is £750+ VAT for the three day programme
